Physician Leadership Opportunity in Phoenix, AZ – West Valley Associate Market Medical Director Join ArchWell Health as an Associate Market Medical Director. Job Summary The Associate Market Medical Director will provide leadership and administrative support to a group of primary care providers in the West Valley market. The role is primarily patient‑facing but includes dedicated administrative time. Ideal candidates have value‑based care experience, a passion for patient care, and a desire to lead. Clinical Duties Render outpatient primary care medical and consulting services. Maintain accurate professional records and encounter documentation. Collaborate with care team members to provide high‑quality care and excellent morale. Ensure timely patient evaluation with minimal wait times. Participate in public relations, outreach, and community engagement events. Attend clinical meetings (e.g., hospitalized patient reviews, quality improvement, peer review). Provide coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Associate Market Medical Director Duties Lead a subset of providers across multiple locations, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, and metrics evaluation. Conduct referral reviews, IDT rounds, and admission record reviews to support direct reports. Partner with operations to execute workflows aligned with the ArchWell Health model. Required Education & Experience M.D. or D.O. graduate. Minimum 2 years of post‑residency experience. Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant value‑based care experience. Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Collaborative, patient‑centric leadership style. Committed to caring for elderly and medically underserved populations. Passionate about a fast‑growing organization. Internal candidates must have no disciplinary action in the past 12 months at ArchWell Health.
