The Banquet Bartender isresponsible for providing the highest quality service to guests and servers and maintaining the Company standardsof cleanliness and sanitation while following the requirements of the Beverage Department
Education& Experience
Minimum of 2 years of bar tending experience in a hotel or a related field required.
Must have a valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Certification (at start date).
Valid Texas Food Handler's Certification required before start date.
Must be able to conveyinformation and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate andselect among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful, high-pressuresituations.
Must be effective in handlingproblems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, andsolving problems as necessary.
Must be effective at listeningto, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers andguests.
Must be able to work with andunderstand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
Must maintain composure andobjectivity under pressure.
Job Duties & Functions
Approach all encounters withguests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance incompliance with The Company's standards, as required by scheduling which will varyaccording to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards ofpersonal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working(per brand standards).
Always comply with The Company'sstandards and regulations to encourage safe and
efficient hotel operations.
Comply with certificationrequirements as applicable to the position including Alcohol Awareness, Food
Handlers, Safety, etc.
Always maintain a friendly andwarm demeanor.
Set up the bar according to hotelstandards and Banquet Event Order to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
Prepare beverages and cocktailsaccording to the hotel's mixing and presentation standards.
Serve guests with all beveragerequirements in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Break down a bar after the completionof functions, Store liquor, supplies, and equipment according to the hotel's standards.
Follow all state liquor laws.
Know hotel services andfacilities.
Abide by all hotel policies andsafety rules.
Follow prescribed procedures inserving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests.
Respond to guests' problems,complaints, and accidents.
Be familiar with all fire exitlocations and fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate them.
Employees must always beattentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellowemployees.
Ensure that the bar and serviceareas are kept clean and tidy during service.
Attend meetings as required bymanagement.
Perform other tasks/jobs asassigned by the supervisor or manager.
