Drilling Superintendent

Responsibilities:

  • Geotechnical Drilling:

    • Operate CME 550 or 750 drill rig for geotechnical borings up to 120 feet deep.
    • Start drilling with hollow stem augers and switch to mud rotary when sands are encountered.
    • Perform sampling using split spoon samplers and Shelby tubes.
    • Conduct rock coring as required.

  • Environmental Drilling:

    • Use CME 550 or 750 drill rig for environmental borings.
    • Collect samples as needed.
    • Coordinate decontamination activities, drum storage, and site cleanup.

  • Direct Push Sampling:

    • Utilize a Geoprobe rig for direct push sampling.

  • Field Work Preparation:

    • Prepare equipment, materials, and tooling for field operations.

  • Maintenance:

    • Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.

Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of auger rig operator experience, specifically with CME rigs.

  • Licenses:

    • Possess a Class A CDL or be able to obtain it within 3 months of employment.
    • Maintain a clean driving record.

  • Travel:

    • Willing to travel on weekdays within a three-hour radius of St. Louis.
    • BWP covers hotel and per diem expenses.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of CME rig drilling experience.
  • Strong leadership and self-starting capabilities.
  • Robust mechanical abilities.
