Mammography Technologist

*Essential Job Responsibilities:*
* Prepares facilities in accordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment as required by the institution.
* Respond to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process; has patient sign waiver if necessary.
* Understands and uses correct exposure factors, compression and angulation in order to produce high quality images.
* Determines if the procedure was sufficient, or if additional imaging procedures are needed;
* Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
* Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his/her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of Supplemental Health Care, and other local, state, and federal guidelines; and the policies of the facility requesting the services.
*Education:* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology with specialized Mammography training/certification or four year degree.

*Experience:* Minimum of two years of experience and a valid state radiology registration as required by state law.

*Other Requirements:* Registered with the American Registry for Radiology Technicians. Mammography certification required
