From directing contract responsibilities in support of proposal efforts and managing contract lifecycles to serving as Centrus’ primary interface with government Contracting Officers, this is your chance to drive big-picture results while keeping the fine print flawless. What You Will Do You’ll lead the full lifecycle of Federal contract management—from proposal acceptance to closeout. That means guiding a high-performing team, negotiating major DOE and Federal agreements, setting strategic goals for the Contracts department, and ensuring that every term, clause, and flow-down aligns with Centrus’ standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll oversee proposal support, handle contract negotiations and change orders, manage performance reporting systems like SAM and CPARS, and collaborate with leadership to build partnerships and strategies that keep Centrus positioned for success. We’d Love to Hear From People With A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. 10+ years of Federal contract experience, including at least 5 years in a management role. Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, DOE contracting, and Federal acquisition principles. Experience with integrated purchasing, receiving, and accounts payable systems (Oracle Fusion preferred). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external government stakeholders. The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance. A Successful Candidate Brings Prior experience managing large government prime contracts and negotiating change orders and requests for equitable adjustment. Development of terms and conditions for subcontracts that comply with the requirements of the government contract. Interface with other Centrus organizations to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and terms. Confidence to work independently in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Eligibility and Background Requirements This position will require the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employees become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required. This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.
