Clearance requirement: Secret.ResponsibilitiesPossess a background in voice and data communication.Work with network protocols and either hardware or embedded software to solve problems.Perform hands-on integration and testing of sophisticated RF sensor systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments.Explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences; translate Customer requests into actionable engineering execution.Synthesize customer needs into system tests that acknowledge technical and schedule constraints.Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying system requirements.Participate in I&T readiness reviews, design reviews, and audits of I&T program facilities.Coordinate integrated testing activities that may include environmental, reliability, and occasional flight tests.Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program.Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive reports.Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite testing and for troubleshooting and repair of failed units.Note: This position requires the ability to obtain or maintain an active DoD Secret clearance prior to start.Basic Qualifications – Principal Systems EngineerBachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.Experience with lab test equipment (function generator, oscilloscope, multimeter, network analyzer, etc.).Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Experience with embedded systems design and implementation.Basic Qualifications – Senior Principal Systems EngineerBachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 4 years of experience; an additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of a degree.U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.Experience with lab test equipment (function generator, oscilloscope, multimeter, network analyzer, etc.).Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Experience with embedded systems design and implementation.Preferred QualificationsPrior voice switch experience; experience with the FAA.Advanced degrees in STEM fields.Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.Experience with CAM/EVMS; proposals and basis of estimate.Experience testing software in C/C++, scripting in Python, and MATLAB for capability characterization.Knowledge of Agile principles and tools.Benefits and Work ArrangementFull-time position with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems; eligible for comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, PTO, etc.).Standard work schedule: 9/80.Salary ranges: Primary $105,400.00 – $158,000.00; Secondary $131,100.00 – $196,700.00.
