Maintaining an excellent facility by cleaning, maintaining, and improving the church property and overseeing our Franklin community service program. This position requires flexibility as our team assures that the church is prepared for all worship services and other ministry activities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the use of church buildings, assets, and groundsManage the cleaning and maintenance of church grounds and buildingsDevelop and adhere to a budget for the church’s operational needsWork with other staff leaders to ensure the guest experience on the church campus is welcomingWork with contractors, subcontractors, and other vendors on buildings/grounds projectsServe as a liaison with various agencies regarding property issuesWork with outside groups utilizing church facilities to ensure proper care is given to church property, and manage any contracts or agreements with those groupsAssist in implementing assigned church-wide initiatives as directedRecruit, train, and manage volunteer teams who help with the security, maintenance, and cleaning of the church propertySupport the campus pastor during pre-service huddles and Impact Team NightsAssure clean environment at the campus between Sunday servicesPrint and set up material needed for the weekend service or eventsWork with campus pastor on other projects happening at the campus in need of assistanceOther related tasks as assignedQualifications and RequirementsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or college degreePrevious experience with facility maintenance preferredKnowledge and SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolutionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational/administrative skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projectsAbility to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technologyDemonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner, self-motivatedDemonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry informationDemonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivitySpiritual RequirementsChampion the vision of Emmanuel ChurchFoster and promote a healthy staff culture by adhering to the Emmanuel Staff Behavioral ValuesWillingness to regularly participate in Emmanuel Church activities and eventsAgreement to abide by Emmanuel Church’s Expectations of a Staff Member which include:o Financial support of the church with your titheo Attend one weekend service each week and monthly staff meetingso Participate in community through small groupo Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period of time off work each week)Physical Requirements:(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
