About The RoleAlphaHire is seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Cytotechnologist to join a respected pathology and diagnostics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining cell samples under a microscope to detect abnormalities, infections, and early signs of cancer. This role requires precision, critical thinking, and a deep commitment to laboratory excellence and patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesMicroscopically evaluate gynecologic (GYN) and non‑gynecologic (non‑GYN) specimens to identify cellular abnormalitiesAccurately screen and diagnose Pap smears in accordance with CAP and CLIA guidelinesAssist pathologists in diagnosing complex or challenging cases by preparing preliminary findingsMaintain accurate documentation and reporting through the laboratory information system (LIS)Ensure quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance in all cytology proceduresParticipate in laboratory improvement processes and continuing education initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or a related biological scienceCompletion of an accredited Cytotechnology programCurrent certification by ASCP (CT) or eligibility to obtain certification1+ years of experience in cytology preferred (new grads welcome with strong clinical performance)Knowledge of ThinPrep, SurePath, and other liquid‑based cytology methodsStrong attention to detail, visual acuity, and ability to work independentlyFamiliarity with LIS systems and digital pathology tools is a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience with FNA (fine needle aspiration) assistance or rapid on‑site evaluations (ROSE)Cross‑training in histology or molecular diagnosticsBilingual abilities (especially Spanish/English) are a plusCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceFull medical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off, holidays, and continuing education allowanceRetirement plan with employer matchOpportunities for growth in a collaborative laboratory setting #J-18808-Ljbffr
