WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

An Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or pieces while adhering to a specified set of work instructions. They verify the correct quantities of component parts and quality check completed items, manage parts inventory and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce finished product. As a member of the Wheels Mfg production team, you will also be required to work with colleagues to maintain a safe, clean and operationally efficient shop.

  • Assemble small CNC machined parts (bottom brackets, tool kits, etc).* [50%]
  • Package and label parts into retail packaging.* [30%]
  • Maintain inventory levels.* [10%]
  • Assist in organization and maintenance of the warehouse & assembly work environment. [5%]
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. [5%]

*Represents essential duties.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School diploma or GED is preferred
    • Ability to read and comprehend complex assembly instructions and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
    • Basic math and computer skills
    • Basic computer knowledge including ability to navigate internal and external internet resources
      • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
      • Great attention to detail & the ability to identify color, fit, and finish defects
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • 1-2 years of experience in an assembly role
      • Ability to operate assembly machinery: product baggers, laser engravers, bearing presses
  • OTHER RELATED CRITERIA
    • Physical Requirements
      • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally
      • Ability to lift 20 lbs overhead occasionally
      • Ability to team lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
      • Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s). It is often present when lifting involves the hands. Note: Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand to hold or operate a tool such as tin snips or scissors constantly
      • Touching, picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in gross manipulation constantly
      • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift constantly
      • Ability to work outside in various work conditions occasionally
      • Ability to perform work on a computer occationally.

Wheels Manufacturing approaches pay in an ethical and transparent way.Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data from 3rdparty salary benchmark data as well as balancing internal equity of other roles with similar levels of responsibility. Individual pay within the range can vary for several reasons including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, tenure, performance, and available budget.

Hiring Range: $17.35-18.50
