Assigns resources as needed.What you will doMaintains an orderly, safe, and clean working environmentTroubleshoots any problems that occur with equipment before calling for serviceAssists with updating the clinical X-ray procedure manual as neededMaintains communication with Radiology Manager to oversee updated radiology protocolsSelects and orders proper suppliesAssures that all work areas are kept clean, and well suppliedAttends seminars and conferences in order to maintain current technology and to be in compliance with continued education creditsAllocates personnel to satisfy workload demands in most efficient mannerParticipates in maintaining QC for X-ray equipmentMaintains and respects confidentialityComplies with Hospital dress cods by wearing ID badge and maintaining professional appearanceDemonstrates commitment to own work schedule by adhering to attendance standardsArranges for transportation to and from nursing units. Personally transports patients in emergency situationsUtilizes time in an effective mannerAdjusts personal schedule in case of fluctuations in workload of the departmentDemonstrates ability to recognize priorities and deal with them promptlyReports any opportunities for improvement to Radiology ManagerReports any suggestions or positive changes to Radiology MangerUtilizes the PACS/RIS systemAssures that X-ray technologists meet criteria for performance and job duties set forth in position descriptionPerforms other duties assignedEducation QualificationsTrade/Vocational School Graduate of an approved school of x-ray technology requiredExperience Qualifications3+ years post-licensure experience requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIncorporates physiological and developmental age of patients into overall plan for delivery of careResponsibilities may require adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend/call/holiday hours in order to meet the operational needs of the department and/or hospitalResponsibilities will require ability to read, write, and rationally comprehend the English LanguageMust be able to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that quality service in provided to clients and physiciansUtilizing any or all Hospital provided equipment and/or safe work procedures; employee shall be required to lift all objects as in practicableThe employee must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to, standing, walking, reaching with arms above head, climbing, balancing.
