The Wound Care Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with acute or chronic wounds. The role requires advanced knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, infection control, and patient education to promote wound healing and prevent complications. This position is a non-exempt, full-time, benefitted position.Anticipated schedule: Day shiftsStarting pay range: $31 39.68/hour, DOE.A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for permanent, full-time hire, with a 2-year service agreement.

Administer analgesics as prescribed and implement non-pharmacological pain relief strategies to enhance patient comfort and compliance.Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, dressing changes, signs of infection, and self-care measures to promote optimal healing and prevent recurrence. Provide written instructions and resources for continued wound management at home.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, surgeons, wound care specialists, physical therapists, and dietitians, to coordinate comprehensive care plans and address patient needs holistically. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care and adherence to treatment goals.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, interventions, patient responses, and progress notes in electronic medical records (EMR).Report significant changes in patients' condition or response to treatment to the healthcare team promptly.Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care practices, protocols, and outcomes.
