We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Lending Partnerships to lead and expand our “Business as a Service” (BaaS) strategic alliances with fintech companies and other financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lending, a deep understanding of the fintech landscape, and a proven track record of developing and managing successful partnerships. What you’ll spend your time doing: Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for identifying, evaluating, and establishing lending partnerships with fintech companies and other financial institutions. Aligning partnership strategies with the overall business goals and objectives of the organization. Partnership Development: Identifying and engaging with potential fintech partners to explore and establish lending partnerships that enhance the company's product offerings and market reach. Leading negotiations and structuring of partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with regulatory requirements. Relationship Management: Managing and nurturing existing partnerships to maximize their value and ensure ongoing collaboration and innovation. Serving as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing any issues and fostering strong, productive relationships. Product and Market Development: Collaborating with internal teams, including product, marketing, legal, and compliance, to integrate partner solutions and ensure seamless execution. Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for partnership and innovation. Performance Monitoring: Establishing KPIs and metrics to measure the success and impact of lending partnerships. Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance and outcomes of partnerships. Risk Modeling: Building the model validation program and associated documentation. Establishing and overseeing model risk governance and model validation projects, statistical tests, and alternative models for our partners. Providing an action plan to partners based on independent model validation test results Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. (MBA or other advanced degree preferred.) 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on lending and partnerships. 5+ years of experience working within a successful BaaS model. Proven track record of developing and managing successful lending partnerships with fintech companies or financial institutions. Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills. Ability to build and maintaim strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to lending and partnerships.
