Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is an important member of the customer service team. They have primary responsibility for ensuring all sales orders are fulfilled timely and accurately. They provide on-going support of sales order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and other customer service responsibilities as needed for Checkpoint Surgical. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Continuously monitor sales orders pending fulfillment
  • Process orders as they are received using RF Smart to scan product and lot numbers for product ordered
  • Prepare packing list in NetSuite
  • Compile items for shipment
  • Verify item and lot numbers match packing list
  • Appropriately package items for shipment
  • Confirm the order, packing list, and shipping label all match
  • Ensure all orders to be shipped are received by the shipping vendor each day
  • Process Transfer Orders
  • Manage Physical Inventory at Warehouse
  • Gather inventory counts monthly at warehouse
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation as needed
  • Monitor NetSuite virtual warehouse
  • Coordinate inbound shipments from manufacturing
  • Receive product at warehouse and ensure accuracy
  • Ensure adequate amounts of shipping materials and inventory are on hand to meet order demands
  • Maintain safe and organized work environment
  • Sales Order Creation
  • Process Purchase orders received via email, phone, or fax
  • Enter new accounts and confirming price discounts
  • Review orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Contact Customers to get orders updated as needed
  • Confirm orders per customer instructions
  • Customer Service
  • Manage incoming Checkpoint phone calls as needed
  • Handle Customer requests and inquiries
  • Assist sales, accounting, and operations management on as-needed basis with other projects and duties from time to time


Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required, some additional education preferred
  • 2+ years work experience in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Experience with -financial/GL & inventory ERP systems.
  • Strong math skills a must
  • Must have strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and good problem-solving skills
  • Must have demonstrated ability to organize and complete multiple routine daily tasks and non-routine tasks concurrently
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, customers, and sales staff
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Prior experience in sales and order processing a plus

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
