What You’ll Do:

The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for coordinating facility maintenance activities, scheduling contractors, setting up and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, and coordinating janitorial activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates facility maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, and upgrades
Schedules and manages contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
Creates and maintains preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities
Conducts regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and addresses them promptly
Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, invoices, and maintenance logs
Coordinates janitorial activities, including cleaning schedules and supply management
Ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Responds promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritizing safety activities
Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
Assists in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures
Identifies opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operations
Helps with facility and janitorial activities when the need arises
Performs other duties as needed
Requirements:

What You’ll Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in facility maintenance or a similar role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Suites, MS Office, and maintenance management software
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facility maintenance
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to use cleaning and maintain equipment, chemicals and supplies
Must have reliable transportation
Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruption
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and colleagues
