The Work You Will Do: Right of Way Agent Trainee / District Three Right of Way This position will participate in the Level II Right of Way Training Program, conduct negotiations with property and business owners as well as provide relocation assistance. This position also provides Right of Way support in various ways. Where You Will Work: District Three Right of Way 1074 Hwy 90 Chipley, FL. 32428 Your Specific Responsibilities: Participates in Level II Right-of-Way Training Program. Conducts negotiations with property and business owners. Provides relocation assistance for assigned parcels. Identifies and evaluates advance acquisition opportunities. Obtains suitable information. Prepares recommended settlement approval. Provides property management services for parcel assignments. Conducts inspections and inventory of improvements, fixtures and contents of real property. Assists in performing right-of-way support, which includes Work Program, records and funds management and scheduling. Provides support with consultant selection process and contract administration. Attends public meetings/hearings and workshops, and similar forums. Assists with public records requests and related inquiries. Assists in addressing and resolving issues. Participates in Quality Control reviews. Ensures data is entered into the Right-of-Way Management System (RWMS). Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Ensures conformance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Reviews invoices. The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Skills in: Effective written and oral communications. The use of personal computers, including a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software Ability to: Learn Florida State and local real estate laws and regulations, and real estate appraisal and finance principles and practices. Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships. Analyze, interpret, and implement appropriate statutory and procedure requirements. Effectively plan, organize, and work independently. Ability to make decisions and meet deadlines. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or its equivalent and three (3) years of real estate experience defined as professional or technical experience in right-of-way administration; land management; abstract and title work; property management; the sale, acquisition, appraisal of real estate; or other business experience, such as any role in customer service including retail sales. Post-secondary education can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
