Nurse Practitioner Fellow – Palliative Care – MGH Mass General Brigham is a not‑for‑profit health system that supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse fellowship in palliative care is part of the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship program and is a year‑long, immersive training that equips the fellow with specialized skills in advanced communication, complex symptom management, psychosocial support, and leadership. Responsibilities Fulfil all requirements of the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship including didactics, curriculum, and scholarly assignments. Comply with all job duties of a Nurse Practitioner at the assigned institution. Complete clinical rotations in the hospital and serve as an NP in the department of rotations. Provide patient diagnosis and treatment, write prescriptions following hospital guidelines, and attend lectures, trainings, and other educational opportunities. Qualifications Masters or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program by January 2026. Board‑certified or board‑eligible by March 1, 2026. Adult NP Fellowships: Board certification in Adult/Geriatric Primary Care, Adult Acute Care, or Family Nurse Practitioner. Licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts required before the start of the fellowship (July 1, 2026). Prescriptive authority for controlled substances in MA with DEA registration required before fellowship start. Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Provide a personal statement (500‑word limit) describing interest in palliative nursing, learning objectives for the fellowship year, and goals for advancing palliative care in nursing. Submit three letters of reference attesting to interest, experience, and potential in palliative care specialty practice.
