Project Architect and Senior Project Architect with Residential Experience (Washington, DC) Cunningham | Quill Architects is an award-winning architectural practice based in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC dedicated to design excellence. Our employees work closely with the Principals from concept to completion in an open studio format. We encourage personal and professional development at all levels with ongoing continuing education and professional participation inside and outside the office. Responsibilities Support single-family residential projects and contribute to our diverse portfolio that includes multi‑family residential, institutional, adaptive reuse and historic preservation, mixed‑use commercial, master planning, and urban design. Qualifications b>Professional Licensure is required; Project Architects with minimum 5 years of experience as an architect on built projects with project‑management experience; Senior Project Architects with minimum 8 years of experience as an architect on built projects with project‑management experience; Graduate Degree in Architecture from a NCARB‑accredited program; Detail‑oriented and proactive individual with the ability to multitask multiple project efforts effectively and efficiently; Demonstrates knowledge of local building codes and zoning ordinances; Experience managing projects and teams; Experience leading the development of drawing documentation and specifications; Possess technical detailing experience with a good knowledge of building assemblies and systems, construction techniques and technologies; Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to interact independently and effectively with clients, regulatory groups, and other team members; Experience in construction administration; Required program experience: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch‑up, and Adobe Suite; LEED accreditation is a plus.
