As a Level III Trauma Center and ANCC Pathway to Excellence designated facility since 2022, we are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care 24/7/365—including urgent and emergent add-on cases.Our cross-trained surgical staff supports a broad range of services including orthopedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, robotic-assisted procedures, bariatrics, gynecology, podiatry, and endoscopy. The OR team is composed of RNs, surgical technologists, CSFAs, and procedure support technicians, with staffing aligned to AORN standards to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient care.If you're passionate about perioperative excellence and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, Piedmont Walton is the place for you. Operating RoomFull Time Days Responsibilities: Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department. Qualifications: EducationH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredGraduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program RequiredWork Experience3 years Surgical Tech Certification and of experience . In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of Surgical Tech experience RequiredLicenses and CertificationsCurrent GA LPN License if applicable RequiredAdditional Licenses and CertificationsCertification as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed as an LPN RequiredBLS certification Required Business Unit : Name: Piedmont Walton Hospital
