We’re looking for passionate, resilient, and business-minded enthusiasts who share our values and want to join us in not only leading the climbing industry but defining itJOB SUMMARYThe part-time Marketing Lead is responsible for executing marketing initiatives for Movement Valhalla, focusing on member acquisition, retention, conversion, and engagement. This role plays a key part in community outreach and grassroots marketing, driving local brand awareness, building strong member connections, and supporting gym growth. The Marketing Lead collaborates closely with gym leadership to align with local goals and works with the national marketing team to localize campaigns and implement marketing strategies that support both company and gym-specific objectives.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute local marketing efforts to support brand awareness, member acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention.Implement grassroots marketing and community outreach by building partnerships, attending local events, and engaging with the community.Manage and create content for social media, email, website updates, and promotional materials, ensuring alignment with branding and messaging.Oversee social media engagement by posting content, responding to messages, and fostering an active online community.Maintain and manage a local marketing calendar for email campaigns, social media, and promotional initiatives.Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate marketing effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.Act as the marketing liaison between the national marketing team and local gym leadership, ensuring alignment with company-wide initiatives.Regularly meet with gym team to collaborate on marketing priorities, events, and member engagement strategies.Advise gym leadership on partnership opportunities, local events, press outreach, and in-gym marketing efforts.Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketing efforts.Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and customer experience in all marketing activities.Assist with light design work for digital collateral as needed, following brand guidelines.JOB REQUIREMENTS1+ years marketing experience.Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, make decisions, and meet deadlines.Adaptable, resourceful, and able to succeed in fast-paced, evolving environments.Have excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work as part of a team.Solid computer skills (web-based applications, Word, Excel, social media platforms, etc.).Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.Skilled at writing and proofing in several different communication formats.Understanding of basic photography and videography skills using a phone.Experience with Asana or other project management software.Knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis role is a part-time hybrid position at the Movement Valhalla location and will require weekly travel to the Valhalla location 1-2 times per week or more as needed (including attending/capturing content for events). The role will collaborate with a remote marketing team and work closely with the local operations team and will report to the Assistant Director of Marketing. This position is expected to work 15-20hrs per week, with the option to be combined with another role for a full time opportunity.
