CNC Operator/Machinist

Shift:
2nd shift, 2pm-11:30pm
Training will be on 1st shift; overtime is voluntary
Pay:
$25-$29/hr depending on experience with 8% shift differential AND sign on bonus of $2,000

CNC Operator/Machinist Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
- Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
- Set-up and prepare includes set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
- Operator-level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
- Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
- Follow written work instructions and engine manual instructions.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
CNC Operator/Machinist Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of machining experience/training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
- Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts
CNC Operator/Machinist Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical trade school degree in machining
- 5+ years of machining experience
- 5-axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
- Experience with VTL, lathes, and/or T-lathes
