Our central hub is at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU in downtown Richmond, with satellite locations and community clinics all throughout Central Virginia.Chief Purpose of this position: The Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (CHOR at VCU) is recruiting for a Pediatric Clinical Psychologist. Candidates should be eager to advance their academic career in a collegial atmosphere in a growing Children’s Hospital.  The Division is home to a robust research and clinical service, and an accredited Fellowship Program in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. The division and CHoR are part of the NCI-designated Massey Cancer Center. The division is supported by a robust psychosocial team including dedicated psychologists, social workers, child life specialists, chaplains and educational consultants with the goal to provide comprehensive wrap-around care to all patients and families. This position will not only provide clinical care but will also have the opportunity to lead this multi-disciplinary team to ensure care is coordinated and all members of the team are supported in their professional development and growth.Position Responsibilities:Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in the area of Hematology/Oncology Psychology.  Faculty member will provide guidance and mentorship to Residents and Chief Residents in the area of Hematology/Oncology Psychology.Research: Faculty member will have experience in securing revenue through grants and contracts and will serve as a research mentor to other members of the division and the department of Pediatrics.Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental or School of Medicine level committees when appropriate, as well as professional through journal review, conference presentations, etc.Clinical: Faculty member will serve as a Psychologist in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. The division provides clinical care to both inpatient and outpatient arenas.Required Qualifications:Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Counseling from an APA- accredited doctoral programExperience with clinical care of patients ages birth to 21Experience with education of house-staff, medical students, and othersDemonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCUPreferred Qualifications: Experience in programmatic development/leadershipSub-board and or additional graduate degreeExperience with advocacy at local, state, and national levelSuccess in generating revenue (grants/contracts)#LI-KB1
