Clinical Director - Central Region – Justice Resource InstituteJustice Resource Institute (JRI) supports the Department of Youth Services (DYS) by placing qualified Clinical Directors and clinicians in their Northeast, Central, and Southeast programs. This position is based at the DYS Paul T. Leahy Center in Worcester, MA.Compensation$87,651 per year. The range reflects the expected pay for this role at the time of posting; actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.ScheduleMonday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Opportunity for some remote work as approved.What You’ll DoThe Clinical Director’s primary role is to write and produce a comprehensive assessment document on newly committed youth. A clinical assessment includes utilisation of various screening tools to measure risk, needs, trauma, substance use, and family circumstances. This document provides the youth’s DYS Team and parent/guardian with information for determining service needs and the most appropriate level of care for the youth’s initial residential or community placement.This role will maintain a caseload of newly committed assessment youth within the assigned region, coordinate with health, educational, clinical, caseworkers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders as part of the DYS assessment process, and, when appropriate, consult and participate in treatment or review meetings.Additionally, the Clinical Director will provide clinical support to the DYS programs throughout the Central Region, working with program management teams to provide stable and supportive environments for youth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and case management services.RequirementsMust be 21 years or older.Current/active MA LICSW or MA LMHC.Experience working with adolescents and their families.Skilled writer, including clinical documentation and treatment need areas.Experience in court related assessments, is preferred.Experience in assessing and making recommendations around mental health and/or substance use needs, family functioning, and trauma related difficulties.Experienced in suicide prevention and intervention strategies.Candidates must have experience working with adolescents and their families, knowledge in case conceptualization, and crisis stabilization and management. Comprehensive training in DBT will be offered.Knowledge of bias and racial disparities experienced by youth and families in the juvenile justice system.Knowledge of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and other cognitive-behavioral therapies.Must be flexible to meet the needs of youth and families.Supervisory experience a plus.Proficient in Microsoft office suite, including Microsoft Word.Acceptable driving and state/federal background checks.At JRI, we are committed to fostering a workplace where every team member feels valued and respected.
