What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in Glendale, CA. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about tax and accounting.

Senior Managers are involved in almost all areas for which partners are responsible. They exhibit technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements, possessing a thorough knowledge of the firm's policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will ensure accurate and timely tax reporting for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and overseeing tax engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Coordinating various phases of tax engagements, from planning through execution.
  • Planning the timing and assigning of staff to engagements.
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of associates, providing guidance as needed.
  • Reviewing engagement work papers and resolving any issues.
  • Preparing client billings.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Recognizing opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Evaluating the performance of professional and administrative staff.
  • Analyzing complex tax issues and providing solutions.

Qualifications

  • At least eight years of experience, including two years' experience as a manager.
  • CPA license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ASC 740, SSAP 101, Form 1120-PC, and Form 1120-L is preferred.

Additional Information

This position involves working both in our office and at client locations, which may require occasional travel. Moderate overtime may be necessary during peak periods.
