Job Summary:

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist in our_ Dental Health Associates- Harrisonburg _office located at 3340 Emmaus Rd, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801 to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They also may educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop x rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.

Compensation: $50-$60/hour (pay ranges based on single column or assisted hygiene)

Schedule: Full-time 8A-5P

Duties:

- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify potential oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide high-quality dental hygiene services, including cleaning and polishing teeth, as well as educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Assist dentists with routine dental procedures, such as fillings and extractions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts.
- Utilize medical imaging technology, including digital radiography and intraoral cameras, to diagnose and treat dental conditions.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of dental anatomy and apply this knowledge to provide effective patient care.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient satisfaction and safety.
- Adhere to aseptic technique to ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor, with a focus on building strong relationships with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

- A degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field.
- A current license to practice dental hygiene in the state where the position is located.
- Experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or a related field.
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management and dental anatomy.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- A commitment to adhering to aseptic technique and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
- A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a desire to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
