The Emergency Department is offering the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Residency Program.

We’ve partnered with the ENA to offer you an emergency nursing specific residency program, which will include a combination of unit based learning with a preceptor and classroom based didactic training.
Emergency Department - Biddeford/Sanford
The Emergency Department Biddeford/Sanford provides 24-hour emergency care supporting 2 separate campuses. It is a level III emergency department that, combined, both campuses treat over 40,000 patients per year. Each campus provides care to a variety of patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.
The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with up to 47 treatment beds in Biddeford and up to 25 treatment beds in Sanford.
The Sanford campus is York County’s only inpatient behavioral health unit with a 24/7 emergency department.
Position Summary
The health care work force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community-focused, cost-effective, clinically-effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible, and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. The Registered Nurse is responsible for performance of complex, individualized, family oriented nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures under the direct supervision of a charge/shift leader RN.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: N/A
License/Certifications: Current licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing as an R.N. required. BSN preferred. BLS and ability to perform CPR required. ACLS preferred.
