Business Intelligence Analyst - Transportation Analytics

Long-term Contract

Remote


Brooksource is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our client’s Decision Analytics team with a focus on the organization’s transportation/supply chain initiatives. This role is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity and will focus on delivering data-driven insights and solutions across the client’s transportation portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical abilities with business acumen, focusing primarily on front-end analytics delivery while maintaining proficiency in back-end data processes.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) to monitor key transportation metrics and KPIs
  • Analyze transportation and delivery data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics for various transportation segments including Final Mile, STO, Linehaul, Aggregation and Unbundling operations
  • Present data-driven insights to business partners in clear, actionable formats
  • Apply statistical analysis and basic ML/AI techniques to forecast transportation trends and optimize delivery operations
  • Support data-driven decision-making across warehouse and transportation operations


Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and analysis
  • Experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong Python programming skills for data manipulation and analysis
  • Proven experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI and/or Tableau)
  • Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts for predictive analytics
  • Strong foundation in statistics and mathematical modeling
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information to non-technical audiences


Domain Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of transportation and logistics operations
  • Experience with delivery optimization and route planning
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management
  • Familiarity with supply chain metrics and KPIs
