We also believe that by aligning with nonprofits addressing health in their communities, we can make an even bigger impact.Summary: Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack BackEnd/CMS works directly with stakeholders, product, design and the frontend engineering team to develop and extend our content management system and enterprise B2B APIs. This role is responsible for development in both the CMS (Optimizely) and the backend API platform (Java/Spring Boot). The Senior Software Engineer should be able to work autonomously, be detail oriented (scalable architecture), and see features through from inception to delivery.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExpertise in developing custom page and block libraries in Optimizely (formerly Episerver).Expertise in architecting reusable and scalable CMS data structures for consumption on headless front ends.Expertise in back end development using Java/Spring Boot or similar frameworks.Expertise in architecting scalable, highly available and performant enterprise APIs in a B2B setting with strict SLAs.Familiar and comfortable with deploying and testing code.Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.Communicate effectively with team members and management.Understanding of agile software development concepts and processes. Proactive, initiative-driven, logical thinker with consultative skills; ability to understand requirements, draw out implications and make design recommendations. Knowledge of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery; strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.Participate in estimating, designing, and developing to verify functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of complex software across multiple projects.Maintain composure under pressure and tight deadlines.Ensure Company Data, including PHI, is collected, handled, and stored according to Buzz Integrations data security standards; candidates must sign policies defining responsibilities for protecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI and other Company Data.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment with relevant experience in CMS and backend technologies.3+ years of experience with modern web, API and cloud-based technologies.Experience working in an Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) using Atlassian tools.Execution mindset with bias for action and ability to handle ambiguity.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of professional software development experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, Java and Spring Boot.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Experience with application architecture and design patterns; leading full software development lifecycle efforts is a plus.Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, version control, build, testing, operations).Experience designing distributed/scalable and high-volume transaction systems.Exposure to serverless APIs (AWS Lambda).Familiarity with headless frontend technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js and Vercel.Technologies UtilizedAmazon AWSOptimizely CMSJava / Spring BootGitJenkinsWork LocationThis position can be remote for supporting internal clients, coordinating with offshore teams, and working with stakeholders to facilitate timely decisions.Working HoursThis exempt-level position requires flexible hours to meet business needs; core hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with possible variations.TravelThis position may require domestic travel to conferences and meetings.Visa SponsorshipWe are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.We encourage you to review our full Privacy Policy for detailed information on our privacy practices.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyHospitals and Health CareReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at BuzzRx.
