ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet® designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.
Position Summary
Assist in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Participates in the assessment of patients.
Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care.
Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote and professional development.
Develops leadership role within the LPN scope of practice.
Participates in Service Excellence Program.
Minimum Requirements
LPN Diploma
Active NC LPN License or compact state
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Exposure and practice of medication administration from educational preparation and student clinical practice.
Other Information
Department: Rehab Neurosciences (20- Bed Unit)
Primary population: Acute adult rehab patients with a range of subspecialities (brain injuries, brain tumors, major multiple traumas, stroke, neurological conditions). Average length of stay for our patients: 13 days
This position is a full-time benefit eligible position - 36 hours/week. 12 hour shifts.
