You are: 

You are a highly skilled and experienced remote Senior Database Analyst with extensive experience in  developing and optimizing database systems. Your deep understanding of SQL and database technologies enables you to drive performance improvements and ensure the security and integrity of critical data. You excel in a collaborative environment, working closely with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to align database solutions with organizational objectives.

How you will make an impact:

You will help develop and maintain robust database systems that support critical business applications, ensuring optimal performance through strategic tuning and indexing. Your proactive approach to database security and backup strategies will safeguard sensitive information and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities: 

  • Completing service requests via ServiceNow, Ad Hoc requests via customer requests
  • Creating and maintaining service and upgrade scripts
  • Performing routine maintenance and upgrades under supervision of Sr Staff
  • Leads and participates in the development and maintenance of Cyber and IA database systems while also offering database development resources to the development team.
  • Review and provide technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle
  • Unix/Linux including basic shell commands, data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling and monitoring tools, XML, HTML, open-source development, and technical documentation (Windows Office/Visio/Cvs, etc.)
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for database systems.
  • Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Lawelawe Defense Inc ("LDI") is an SBA Certified 8(a) Native Hawaiian Owned (NHO) SDB Lawelawe Defense offers an outstanding record of delivery on various projects encompassing: Program and Portfolio Management; Systems Engineering and Architecture; Network Engineering and Operations; Data Center Optimization and Operations; Desktop/Server and Application Virtualization.

Here's what you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree in the same fields with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working in roles with strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate well with customers needs
  • Knowledge and strong familiarity of Oracle Database Administration
  • Knowledge of XML, HTML, open-source development
  • Experience in data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling, and monitoring tools
  • Proficiency with Unix/Linux, including basic shell commands.
  • Strong technical documentation skills (Windows Office, Visio, CVS, etc.)
  • Security+ Certification required
  • Active secret clearance required
  • Must be a US citizen
