OverviewDirector of Hospitalist Medicine role at Jupiter Medical Center.EducationMD or DOBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Internal MedicineKnowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to EPICExperience / QualificationsDirectorship experience of a hospitalist programMD or DOBoard CertifiedPosition SummaryThis role is for a physician who wants to practice through providing compassionate, patient centered care.Maintenance of timely, accurate and detailed medical records using EPICLead a team of physicians, advanced practice providers for a 24/7 hospitalist medicine teamPrescribes medication or therapy when necessaryRecommends lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of lifeExplains all medical procedures thoroughlyExplains test results and provide patients with plan of care detailsConsults with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needsServes on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requestedSeeks to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goalsParticipates in business development and marketing activities to grow the businessUnderstanding of physician practice environmentExcellent communication skills at all levelsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsThis job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
