Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000

The University of Miami UHealth, Lennar Foundation Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for an Otolaryngology RN 2 . Performs telephone triage and ambulatory otolaryngology nursing care for patients with cancer and other complex illnesses; to address symptom management, follow-up and coordination of care through collaboration with licensed independent practitioners (including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants etc.). Our goal is to enhance the quality of health care through immediate patient access, education and communication. As the continuity point of health care, each patient is triaged to ensure that the appropriate health care team member meets the patient's needs. The telephone triage nurse reports directly to the Nursing Manager/Supervisor. Triage phone calls (including returning calls, follow up calls regarding patient status, etc.). Symptom management by phone assessment using nursing skills and knowledge within scope of practice, and in coordination with primary care team. Communication with administrative staff for clinic schedule needs for urgent visits. Response to patient's phone call and needs in appropriate time frame. Obtain relevant medical records, lab tests, notes etc. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, and a minimum of one year RN experience.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
