PowerBI Engineer

We have a 6-month contract to hire for a BI Engineer with a background in PBI, MS Fabric, Data Factory, SQL Server, and ETL.

The position is a hybrid schedule of 2 days on-site in Roseville CA and 3 days remote.

Job Description:

The Business Intelligence Engineer will design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions for our organization. This role is crucial in building the infrastructure and tools required to support and enhance business operations, achieving data reporting and analysis goals.

• Responsibilities: Data Management and Maintenance: Support data administration (in SQL Server and Fabric Data Warehouse), semantic modeling (in Power BI), and integration activities within data warehouse systems . Build and maintain multiple databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• ETL Development: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Power BI Dataflows, Fabric Data Factory, and SQL stored procedures.
• Data Analysis: Analyze key metrics and data findings to support business decision-making.
• Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in business intelligence or data engineering roles.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Data Warehouse).
• Strong experience with SQL Server and database management.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with data modeling techniques.
• Experience with data mining and manipulation from various database systems.
