Description:
Emory Johns Creek Hospital is proud to announce an exciting opportunity to join our growing Level 2 NICU team. Our hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our tiniest patients, and we are looking to expand our rehabilitation presence in the NICU. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate NICU Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our expanding NICU program, providing specialized physical therapy services to premature and medically complex infants. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing program and contribute to the development of innovative rehabilitation strategies.
Provides comprehensive evaluations and testing, physical therapy treatments and education to seriously ill patients or those having complex medical problems and families which are consistent with patient's individualized needs and carried out within an interdisciplinary environment.
Assists in supervising staff and students and in developing in-service training programs for continuing staff development.
Provides guidance and instruction on an ongoing basis to ensure efficient operations and supervises students and support staff.
Assess and assists the staff in assessing complex patients and problems.
Collaborates with other members of the patient care team and uses community resources to plan for the continued care, support and follow-up of the patient after discharge.
Conducts in-service programs, provides other staff with training in area of expertise and serves as a clinical instructor to students.
Assists in providing consultation related to clinical management to professional community and community at large.
Responds to requests for professional information or advice and refers more complex matters to the appropriate staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from physical therapy school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
