As a System Administrator supporting NAVAIR, you'll collaborate with talented professionals to create innovative, mission-critical solutions that empower naval aviation and defense operations. Your expertise will help shape cutting-edge systems, enhance national security, and drive technological advancement for our nation. Responsibilities * System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing System Administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks, and maintaining and upgrading network infrastructures across the NAVAIR community. * Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. * Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users. * Provide technical assistance to computer users. * Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network system. * Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. * Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems. * Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities. * Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages. * Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution. * Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning. Qualifications * Must have current Top Secret Clearance US Citizenship required. - U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance * At least 6-8 years of experience. * Bachloros Degree * Experience with the following: * 6-8 years experience VMware/vSphere Enterprise * Linux * Software development environment * Atlassian tools * Familiarity with the following: * Windows Server * SAN * Networking * STIGs * ACAS * COMPTIA Security or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required. * Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux). * Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts. * Work environment is on-site, not hybrid or remote. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
