OverviewClearance:Ability to obtain the required government Public Trust security clearanceDev Technology Group is recruiting for a Lead Automation Test Engineer to support a system that automates critical processes for both our government customer and noncitizens in the US. The candidate must be able to support business analysis tasks and production support of an enterprise application. The ideal candidate can work independently and collaboratively and is interested in supporting an important government mission. What You'll Be DoingYou will work as a member of an active Agile development team, responsible for participating in all Agile ceremonies, updating Jira tasks daily, and contributing to our continuous improvement processes.

You will work together with team members and stakeholders to test solutions that meet the client’s needs. You will support business analysts, as needed, with the elicitation of requirements and analysis/design of secure solutions to meet customer needs. You will rotate with team members to provide Tier III support to our customer, interacting with users who are experiencing system issues or answering user questions. In support of this project and the customer’s mission, you will do the following:Lead manual and automation testing, leveraging other BA/Tester team members for manual testingCreate automated functional UI-based or services/API-based test suites for web-based systems, primarily using Selenium and relatedframeworksPerform manual integration, functional qualification, regression, and user acceptance testingWork with team members to create test strategies, ensuring appropriate test coverageHelp collect and develop test data and technical information used for creating test suitesSupport the DevOps team in integrating the test suites into a continuous integration pipelineDocument test strategies and results as neededCollaborate and build relationships with stakeholders to facilitate testingUpdate progress on User Stories in Jira, and support business analysts with generating process flows and creating/refining User Stories as neededWork with other team members to understand testing requirements and elicit requirements as neededParticipate in, take notes (as needed), and lead (as needed) Agile Scrum meetings, such as Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review/Planning, and Sprint RetrospectivesProvide Tier III support and monitor the system for issuesCommunicate with clients and team members to troubleshoot system issuesHelp design, document, and maintain system troubleshooting processesUpdate and enhance the issue knowledge basePerform quality assurance and review the work of peersIdentify and communicate areas for improvement in the application, customer business processes, and internal team operationsAssist with the compilation of monthly system metric reports, as neededRequired Education, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of work experience testing web-based/cloud applications, preferably applications written in Java and/or C#/.

NETIncluding at least two years of manual testingIncluding at least three years of automation testingExperience with automated testing tools, including Selenium Web Driver and JUnitExperience with automation testing frameworks, specifically CucumberExperience working with custom web apps (preferably Java-based)Proficiency in one or more programming languages (i.e., Java or Python) to write test scripts and frameworksExperience leading a major test effortExperience assessing application functionality, creating/modifying test cases, setting up test data, testing the functionality, and documenting test resultsExperience testing APIs with tools like PostmanExperience using SQL to query databases to confirm expected test resultsWorking knowledge of issue/bug tracking tools (Jira)Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing skillsExperience working with stakeholders to develop process flows and matrices to ensure proper test coverageAbility to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceededAbility to research problems, identify a root cause, and recommend and implement a solutionAptitude for picking up technology quickly and a desire to learn new skillsDemonstrated passion for solving complex software challenges, and enjoys working alongside fellow team members to make that happenCritical thinking skills – must be able to clearly define a problem or need, objectively analyze data around it, and use logical reasoning to draw well-supported conclusions/solutionsDetail-oriented and capable of producing a high level of accuracyStrong interpersonal skills, practicing diplomacy and professionalism in all situationsA team player who takes initiative, but can also work independently, as well as follow directions neededSolid organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience working in an Agile Development environmentPreferred Skills and ExperiencePossession of a current ICE clearance or any other DHS clearanceExperience supporting a Federal Government clientExperience working with a continuous integration pipeline with tools such as CloudBees (or Jenkins), Terraform, Nexus, Apache Maven/GradleExperience using SoapUI, or Java-based wrappers, for web services testingExperience with JMS libraries to conduct EDI testingExperience with deployment to a government-supported cloud environmentFamiliarity with Lean principles, SAFe, and Kanban or other Agile methodologies besides ScrumWho We AreDev Technology is a growing IT company with an employee-centric culture that works on mission-critical projects for the federal government.
