*Job Overview:*
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to expectant mothers during the labor and delivery process. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to ensuring a safe and positive birthing experience for both mother and baby.

Shift: 3x12 nights

Contract: 13 weeks

*Responsibilities:*
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs
- Administer medications, including pain relief measures, as prescribed by physicians
- Assist with the management of complications during labor and delivery
- Educate patients on prenatal care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for patients
- Perform patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Assist with newborn assessments and provide care for newborns in the immediate postpartum period
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the birthing process

*Skills:*
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to labor and delivery
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including infants, toddlers, and individuals with dementia
- Proficient in patient assessment, care planning, and triage
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred
- Familiarity with sonography equipment is a plus

*MUST HAVE:*

2 years of LDRP experience

Newborn stablization.

Must be comfortable working with OB in house and managing laboring patients autonomously and independently (nights and weekends especially.

ACLS, BLS, NRP, Stable
