**The role youll contribute:**

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutritional Services, the cook will prepare, season and cook food for hospital patients, staff and visitors.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** **:**

Prepare foods per Dietary Recipes

Follow patient prescribed diets

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:**

Basic knowledge of equipment

Able to read and understand recipes

Qualifications

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

High school diploma or GED; Unless currently part of a VOA/Community Second Chance program and therefore will be required to obtain GED/HS Diploma or equivalent within 6 months of hire.

Previous food experience

**LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:**

Successful completion of Food Service Training School/Cumberland Valley District Board of Health,

within 30 days of hire.
