Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer - Oracle SQL/PLSQL to join their Database Engineering Department supporting enterprise cloud-enabled distributed systems. Job Title Sr Software Engineer - Oracle SQL/PLSQL Location Boston, MA (Alternatively, may work out of Merrimack NH, Smithfield RI, or West Lake TX) Pay Range $70/hr. Contract Long term Job Summary The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, aligning successfully in the organization. As a Sr Software Engineer - Oracle SQL/PLSQL, you will be part of the Database Engineering Department supporting enterprise cloud‑enabled distributed systems. Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of high‑performance, scalable database solutions using Oracle SQL and PLSQL. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. Optimize database performance through tuning, data modeling, and API development. Support and maintain production systems, ensuring high availability and reliability. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications 8+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle SQL and PLSQL, including performance tuning and data modeling. Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica and batch job schedulers like Autosys. Proven ability to design resilient, cloud‑enabled distributed systems, preferably with AWS, Snowflake, and S3. Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with Java, messaging systems, and web containers. Knowledge of distributed replication technologies like Oracle GoldenGate and exposure to other databases such as Postgres, Snowflake, or MS SQL Server is a plus.
