Direct message the job poster from East Alabama Health.ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Perioperative Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all perioperative departments, including 15 Operating Rooms, 5 Endoscopy Suites, Perianesthesia Units, Pain Clinic, and Pre-Surgical Clinic. This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of surgical patient safety, optimizing capacity and throughput, managing capital procurement and utilization, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.The Director serves as the key liaison between surgical services, anesthesia, physicians, and other stakeholders, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient outcomes.Population ServedPediatric (29 days - 16 years)Young Adult (17 - 40 yrs)Middle Adult (40 - 65 yrs)Older Adult (66+ yrs)Position QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of progressive perioperative leadership experience, including significant OR leadership responsibilitiesDirect clinical experience in the operating room as a circulating nurse, scrub, or surgical technologistDemonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams in high-volume surgical environmentsStrong knowledge of surgical operations, block scheduling, and patient flow optimizationProven track record in capital procurement and large-scale operational project managementLicensure/CertificationCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state of practPreferred EducationMaster’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related fieldPreferred ExperienceExperience in academic medical centers or high-volume surgical programsPreferred CertificationCNOR or other relevant perioperative certificationEvidence of the organization’s mission is reflected in the statement: East Alabama Medical Center aims for high quality, compassionate health care with strong customer service, quality, and cost management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
