Job Description:The Senior Financial Analyst, Senior Housing Business Optimization is a key member of the newly-formed Senior Housing Business Optimization group within Ventas.The Ventas Senior Housing Business Optimization team is a lean group comprised of a Vice President, a Director and this role. The team is highly cross functional, facilitating projects across Investments, Asset Management, Legal, Tax IT, Risk and Finance teams and ensures coordinated execution and alignment of business priorities for a $40+ billion S&P 500 real estate investment trust.The Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to work on advancing portfolio performance and operational excellence across Ventas’s senior housing platform. Reporting to the Director, this role is responsible for developing actionable insights, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and partnering with operators and cross-functional teams to enhance NOI and resident outcomes.This high-impact position offers significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to contribute to strategy execution, data-driven decision-making, and cross-departmental alignment. The ideal candidate is a strong critical thinker, collaborative, intellectually curious, and excited to support one of the most dynamic real estate portfolios in the industry.Portfolio Performance & Strategic AnalysisBuild, manage, and enhance financial forecast models, earnings projections, and performance dashboards as-neededAnalyze operator submissions, portfolio KPIs, macroeconomic trends, and industry benchmarks to generate insights that inform operational strategies and business decisionsSupport of Key Portfolio ActionsLead portfolio segmentation efforts to help inform proactive portfolio strategies including opportunities for disposition and transitionSupport portfolio positioning strategies, including SWOT analyses, hold/sell evaluations, and performance deep divesAssist and eventually lead onboarding new operators and support the execution of operator transitions, ensuring seamless handoffs and continuity of careContribute to the structuring and monitoring of management agreementsOperator EngagementEngage with any of the Ventas’ 35+ SHOP operators on an as-needed basis for certain special projects or situations that require the Business Optimization team, in tandem with other internal partnersAnalyze operator-reported financials and market data at a strategic level to identify areas for performance improvement in certain areas of the profit and loss statement, and assist with the roll-out of initiatives across the portfolioCross-Functional CollaborationActs as a key point of contact across departments, collaborating with teams including Investments, FP&A, Legal, Tax, IT, Risk, and Construction & DevelopmentSupport the preparation of materials for leadership updates with other internal teams, including capital committee meetings, and cross-functional initiativesReporting & Executive SupportAssist in preparing content for quarterly earnings calls, board meetings, investor presentations, and internal leadership briefingsSupport monthly and quarterly performance reviews, business updates, and capital planning effortsLead other special and ad hoc projects as assigned by the VP or Director of Senior Housing Business OptimizationQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Mathematics, or a related business field4+ years of financial analysis experience; experience in real estate, healthcare, FP&A, or asset management a plusAdvanced Excel modeling skills required; experience with Power BI or similar tools a plusStrong understanding of financial statements and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insightsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadershipBias for action, strong initiative and results orientation, with a track record of generating results from multi-functional projectsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with shifting prioritiesProactive, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious with a desire to grow and take ownershipVentas, Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to the successful candidate.Ventas, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Ventas, Inc. does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies, search firms or any third parties. #J-18808-Ljbffr
