Who We Are Looking For PurposeThe Senior Medical Science Liaison builds KOL partnerships by engaging in scientific dialogue with HCPs, researchers, patient groups and formulary decision‑makers in pulmonary hypertension (PH) and interstitial lung disease (ILD‑PH). Responsibilities include establishing educational and research collaborations, delivering clinical science education, and building long‑term stakeholder relationships. Main Responsibilities Scientific Exchange, advice seeking and clinical development support: Build KOL partnerships with academic medical centers and centers of excellence. Identify and engage key thought leaders for medical education, research and publication opportunities. Cultivate collaborations for advisory boards, investigator‑initiated research and speaker development. Provide KOL feedback to field managers and team. Support HCPs on PAH and ILD‑PH therapeutic areas. Deliver field‑based medical and scientific support for unsolicited queries. Represent Chiesi USA at national, regional and local scientific meetings. Initiated trials or collaborative initiatives: Deliver high‑caliber medical education presentations. Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence. Participate in internal therapeutic advisory groups. Partner and plan with business partners to optimize customer experience. Therapeutic Support, Internal Collaboration and Project Work: Lead and support internal medical projects aligned to development plans. Support cross‑functional projects and streamline medical input. Contribute to publication planning, clinical research, medical education material development, and internal training initiatives. Support new team members through mentoring. Administrative Work: Accurately complete documentation, expense reporting and administrative reports. Complete required training on time. Continuously maintain high level expertise and professional licensing/certifications. Experience Required 5+ years of MSL experience; 3–5 years in PH and/or ILD‑PH is required. Prior launch experience in pulmonary hypertension preferred. Builds and leverages strategic internal and external relationships. Works effectively on multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrates discipline, resilience and planning skills. High self‑awareness, growth mindset and positivity. Scientific and clinical expertise in the therapeutic area, including pharmacoeconomics and real‑world evidence. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Persuasive presentation skills and ability to challenge key opinion leaders. Professional communication with internal stakeholders and external customers. Education Graduate‑level degree (PharmD, MD, DO, DNP, PhD, MSN, MS or equivalent) along with relevant clinical experience.
