We are presently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our growing team. The primary duties of the role will be:


Proactive assessment, management of Total Quality Management system

  • Monitoring, assessing, installing quality processes as needed for incoming, current, and postproduction processes across all manufacturing operations.

· Certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

· Applications of APQP, PPAP, etc.

· Provide quality processes and tools for subcontract work.

· Ensuring identified areas of non-conformance, quality concerns, or required corrective actions are processed timely; assist or lead independently portions of in Corrective Action, ECN, RMA, processes.

· A3 reports using PDCA, DMAIC, and 8D solving techniques.

· Development / installation of quality manual, relevant QOP's, and DWI's.

  • Assist hands-on as needed regularly or periodically preparing or completing inspection documents, completing inspections, and developing detailed inspection plans to production.

· Dimensional inspection/processes, calibration systems.

  • Develop and report weekly/monthly KPI’s.
  • Proactive communication with manufacturing, operations/sales leaders, customers or vendors suppliers as needed related to quality, inspection needs.
  • Active development, installation, and ongoing assessments of the company safety program.
  • Identify training needs in the areas of quality processes, internal procedures, and safety across the company; ensure training is developed, available, and delivered as needed.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, and problem-solving, train & facilitate solving of simple and complex problems.


Develop Quality and Safety team

  • Present recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead quality and safety department personnel across multiple shifts. Provide recruiting, training, and performance management of employees.
  • Develop personnel by coaching, mentoring, counseling, and enforcing company policy and procedures.
  • Design and implement processes, train personnel, monitor performance, and make improvements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to personnel in other departments developing their processes and procedures to ensure consistency with QMS guidelines.


Requirements:

Qualifications

· B.S./B.A. degree in business or technical field

· Strong analytical skills

· 7 years manufacturing experience

· 5 years in Quality position

· Certifications desirable (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, Project Management)

· Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T principles

· AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is preferred

· MBA or other advanced degree preferred
