Overview:

The Data Center Network Engineer is critical in developing DC network technology responding to the business's agile engineering and operational requirements. The engineer will lead activities allocated by the DC network specialists and be involved onsite in the Austin DC, and remotely for DCs globally.


Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for technical activities as part of a wider deliverable and driving DC networks across a global estate.
  • Taking a proactive role in troubleshooting technical DC issues and leading vendors when required.
  • Working to standardize the approach to any new technical changes to the existing architecture and proactively share this with the wider team.
  • Assisting in delivering and maintaining a DC networking skillset across a global team of network engineers.
  • Taking a hands-on approach to maintaining the local DC and managing third parties when required.
  • Working with the Global Networks technical team leads to ensure continuous service improvement.
  • To be responsible for the delivery of technical documentation and LLDs.
  • Maintaining focus on standard network technologies, security and best practices for the future of Arm


Required Skills:

  • Excellent hands-on grasp of underpinning network routing and switching technologies.
  • Experience with WAN/Telcom technologies.
  • Experience in network data center technologies with Cisco Nexus.
  • Experience with Cisco ACI in either application or network architecture.
  • An understanding of programming and scripting experience with Python.
  • Experience working with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, GitLab, and APIs.
  • Experience in Cisco firewall technology and architecture.
  • Experience with Cisco SDWAN technology or concepts.
