If you’re an experienced Registered Nurse passionate about education, safety, and helping others thrive, this is the opportunity for you.Position Details:What You’ll DoLead engaging training sessions using Mercy’s designated curriculum to promote workplace safety and violence prevention.Act as a lead or assistant instructor, scheduling classes, preparing classrooms, and ensuring a positive learning experience.Apply adult learning principles to deliver impactful education through interactive methods, audiovisual tools, and real-world simulations.Maintain WPV Instructor status for Mercy’s designated training curriculum by teaching regularly and attending instructor updates.Collaborate with other instructors and support organizational learning needs across multiple locations.Travel opportunities for in-state and occasional out-of-state sessions.What We’re Looking ForRequired:Current Registered Nurse (RN) licenseMaintain Workplace Violence Instructor status for Mercy’s designated training curriculumDegree in a related field OR two years of training experienceMinimum of 2 years in healthcare in roles such as education, patient care, safety/security, psychology, or behavioral healthSkills: Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills; ability to lead with confidence and composurePhysical Requirements: Ability to bend, lift, and move equipment; comfortable with active teaching scenariosPreferred: Clinical degree, behavioral health or emergency department experience, prior workplace violence or de-escalation trainingWhy Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.Join a caring, collaborative team where your voice matters.
