Employee Classification: Seasonal
Compensation: $22 - $24
Job Summary:
The Catering Supervisor will be responsible primarily for managing all production aspects of event catering in coordination with the Production Catering Supervisor as well as the local Front of House & Business Manager and the Assistant Production Manager. They will serve as the on-site direct contact and will be responsible for professional communication with third-party vendors, railroad staff, event employees and passengers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for becoming familiar with local and state health regulations
- Ensure the catering area is kept clean and in good order
- Become familiar with REP catering equipment, and participate in the load in and load out of the catering area
- Ensure that the Hot Chocolate product meets REP quality standards, is delivered to the train on schedule and placed correctly for each performance departure
- Work with Front of House & Business Manager to coordinate delivery of staff meals
- Ensure that catering areas and staff are ready at top of day. Ensure that catering areas have been cleaned and prepped for next event day, at end of day.
- Responsible for direct oversight, and continued support of all local catering staff members
- Receiving and weekly inventory of catering department amenities
- Maintain communication with the Production Catering Supervisor throughout the season
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advises other management with related concerns
- Other duties as assigned
- Majority of time is spent in an indoor setting
- Able to work in cold, snowy, or otherwise inclement winter weather
- Varied schedule requiring evenings, weekends, and overtime
- Able to stand and walk on uneven or unsteady surfaces aboard a moving train
- Workday is spent in and around active railroad yard(s)

With a total cast, crew and front of house employees of 60-75 people onsite every day and the possibility of over 2,000 guests, our days can be chaotic. Requirements
