One America News (OAN), a leading voice in national news is looking for a Video Editor to join our in‑house editorial team in Washington DC. This full‑time on‑site position is based in Washington DC. Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site role based in Washington DC. OAN is looking for an experienced Video Editor to plan, film, and edit videos to be aired on One America News Network. We are looking for someone who can highlight the most important points in a fast‑moving news cycle environment. Duties and Responsibilities Operate video cameras, on location or in the studio, in the production of professional pre‑recorded programming. Design, transport, set up, and operate production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions. Computer edit video segments on a variety of tape and digital formats. Complete troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on video and audio production equipment; assist in repair and upkeep of studio and production sets and properties. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Washington, DC bureau chief. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment. Ability to effectively manage time and schedules. Records maintenance skills. Ability to configure, operate and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting and associated production equipment. Knowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post‑production procedures, techniques, and standards.
