Exciting Opportunity for Therapists in Wausau, WI
Join our new clinic, opening in Fall 2024, and work in either our adult or child & adolescent primary behavioral health program.
Role Overview: As a Therapist, you will develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services for patients and their families. You will work in an acute care setting that includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Comprehensive Social Services:
- Deliver therapeutic treatment services to individuals, groups, families, and significant others.
- Conduct individual treatment sessions as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention services and assess patient safety daily.
- Engage with patients, family members, and referents with respect and dignity.
- Participate in psychoeducational support sessions.
Case Management:
- Advocate for patients, managing expectations and addressing grievances.
- Maintain contact with referring providers, schools, and care teams.
- Implement and document SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely) goals and interventions.
- Complete admissions, treatment, and discharge documentation accurately and on time.
Therapeutic Documentation:
- Document patient progress daily and update Care Plan goals and interventions.
- Summarize multidisciplinary team meetings in the master treatment plan.
- Assist with treatment director s hold for inpatient and residential programs as needed.
Ensure Safety:
- Maintain patient safety and report any safety hazards promptly.
- Adhere to System safety guidelines and follow emergency protocols.
Provide Leadership and Guidance:
- Evaluate and modify Care Plans based on interdisciplinary interventions.
- Participate in and facilitate interdisciplinary staffing for treatment planning.
Communicate Professionally:
- Report pertinent data to the treatment team and use discernment in urgent situations.
- Communicate effectively with referents, patients, families, and co-workers.
- Participate in department meetings and provide feedback on clinical issues.
Maintain Professionalism:
- Display a positive attitude and participate as a team member.
- Communicate respectfully and assertively.
- Adhere to Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and maintain confidentiality.
- Support staffing/scheduling changes to meet patient and program needs.
