The Supervisor, Materials Management, will be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the Manager, Materials Management, by performing the receiving and distribution of inventory and special-order items in the facilities assigned. The incumbent will also assist with restocking the warehouses and supervise the team of Materials Management Clerks as assigned.Ensures that all required documentation related to receiving, stock, and non-stock supply distribution is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.Coordinates emergency deliveries with the Transportation department administration.Researches any special-order delivery issues in response to end-user complaints.Notifies the Inventory Coordinator of any change in the movement of products, such as overstocking or slow-moving items.Assists with the shipping and receiving flow in the department.Fills pick tickets/computer requisitions and delivers supplies to hospital departments on time.Assist with annual and cycle count events as directed by the Manager, Materials Management.Assist with the loading and unloading of the department's delivery truck and bring all supplies and or equipment into the department. The use of a pallet jack may be required.Responsible for assuring that all work areas and storage areas are maintained in a safe and proper appearance.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma3 years of related experience required.Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:Previous experience with an automated inventory management system preferred.Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondenceAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written formAbility to process and handle confidential information with discretionSkill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detailProficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)Ability to lift 70 lbsAny relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
