Assistant Professor of Marketing (Sales) Location: San Luis Obispo, CA Start Date: August 17, 2026 Position Type: Full‑time, academic year, tenure‑track Salary Range: $139,100.00–$153,800.00 per year (rank and salary commensurate with qualifications). Required Qualifications Ph.D. in marketing or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Demonstrated ability to develop or have the potential for a strong teaching and research record. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Academic qualifications under AACSB standards. Demonstrated experience and commitment to student‑centered learning and teaching, and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings. Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in the area of sales. Relevant work experience and professional capabilities. Special Conditions Position requires compliance with the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment. Conditional offer of employment requires a satisfactory background check, including a criminal records check, before commencement of work. Current employees offered campus positions must undergo a background check for all positions requiring legal or designated sensitive screening.
