We’re modernizing how DSS manages and communicates vital information. As part of that effort, we’re seeking a Quality Analyst to support our Enterprise Document Automation (EDA) initiative — a major modernization of the agency’s IBM FileNet IS/P8 content management system. The Role As a Quality Analyst (QA) on the EDA Project, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and compliance of DSS’s enterprise document automation system. Your work will directly improve how DSS creates, tests, and delivers communications to clients — ensuring precision, accessibility, and compliance with city and state mandates (including the Local Law 30 multilingual access requirement). What You’ll Do Develop and execute test scripts and scenarios related to document and form generation Conduct end-to-end functional testing to ensure adherence to business rules and requirements Design and implement test workflows that support the deployment of automated client notices and communications Create and maintain test cases, RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix), and documentation aligned with user stories Validate compliance with LL30 language accessibility standards (forms available in 12 languages) Identify system design gaps, logic errors, or unexpected behaviors and recommend corrective actions Collaborate closely with stakeholders, developers, designers, and business analysts to deliver quality results on time Analyze current systems and make recommendations for process and quality improvements What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or functional testing for large-scale IT projects Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and QA documentation Hands‑on experience with enterprise systems, ideally in document automation or ECM platforms (FileNet, OpenText, etc.) Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall SDLC processes Experience creating test plans, RTMs, and user acceptance criteria Understanding of accessibility and compliance testing (multilingual, 508, or similar) Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills Experience in public sector or enterprise environments preferred Why Join DSS Impact: Ensure accurate and equitable communication for millions of New Yorkers Innovation: Work on a large-scale modernization project using cutting‑edge automation tools Growth: Strengthen your experience in enterprise QA and document systems Collaboration: Partner with skilled IT, design, and program teams in a mission‑driven environment Details 📍 Location: Brooklyn, NY (with potential hybrid flexibility) 🕓 Type: Contract | GSA MAS IT Solutions | Full‑time Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Apply Now If you’re passionate about precision, technology, and meaningful public impact, we want to hear from you. 👉 Apply today with your resume and a brief note highlighting your experience in enterprise system QA or document automation testing.
